Why we built TrialMatched

My wife and I are both doctors. We understand clinical trials, eligibility criteria, and how the system works. When her mother needed to find a trial after every oncology regimen had failed, we still struggled.

The ClinicalTrials.gov databases were built for researchers, not families. The jargon was dense. Figuring out which trials she actually qualified for, what participation would look like, what to ask. It was overwhelming, even for us.

The oncologists we spoke to each had different opinions. Some discouraged exploring further options entirely. We kept finding trials and treatments online that no one had mentioned to us. The advice was conflicting, and we never felt confident we had the full picture.
